           ABOUT

Italy, through my eyes

Postcards from Italy is a collection of stories, places, people, traditions and little discoveries gathered from the Italy I have lived, loved and continued to return to.

This isn't a guidebook.

I'm not here to tell you where you must go or give you a list of things to tick off.

Instead, I want to invite you to slow down, look a little closer and discover some of the Italy that exists beyond the obvious.

The Italy of the locals.

The Italy of the everyday.

The Italy that reveals itself when you stop rushing.

Welcome To My Italy

Twenty-six years ago, I arrived in Italy alone, without speaking a single word of Italian.

I had no idea then just how much this country would become part of my life.

I fell in love with the language, the people, the food, the landscapes and, perhaps most of all, the extraordinary beauty of everyday Italian life.

The Italy I came to know was not always the Italy found in guidebooks.

It was the little bar where someone knew exactly how I liked my coffee. The market that became part of my weekly ritual. A conversation overheard in the street. A village I might never have discovered as a tourist. A word in dialect that had been passed down through generations. A walk through the woods. A table shared with friends.

It was in these small moments that Italy began to feel like home.

And that is the Italy I want to share with you.

Through the films, journals and collections, I'll take you with me as I explore the places and stories that have captured my imagination.

Some will be well known.

Others may be somewhere you've never heard of.

There will be artists and artisans, food and traditions, landscapes and language, stories from the past and discoveries from the present.

And always, there will be the little things.

Because sometimes the smallest moments become the ones we remember most.

Collect moments, not miles.

Welcome to Postcards from Italy.
