There Is a Walk I Keep Coming Back To

There are places in Italy that everyone knows.

And then there are places that somehow remain quietly yours.

Corni di Canzo is one of those places for me.

It is a local delight, tucked away in the mountains above Canzo, where the paths belong mostly to the people who know them.

You are unlikely to find many tourists here.

Instead, there are walkers. Families. People who have come simply to breathe the mountain air.

And those who, like me, know that there is something waiting at the end of the path.

It meanders through the woods, following old rock formations and simple mountain trails.

There are beautiful trees.

Little streams.

Patches of light falling through the leaves.

Nothing asks you to hurry.

And perhaps that is why I love it.

You simply keep walking.

One foot in front of the other.

The forest around you.

The mountains slowly appearing through the trees.

The world becoming quieter with every step.

And then, eventually, you arrive.
